Multi color LEDs are the best for softies, LPS and some SPS corals, IMO.
I've never had on issue growing SPS under LEDs. It is getting them to color up under LEDs that has been my issue. May not be everyone's experience, just mine. Never an issue getting great coloration under Radion Pros for SPS in the genus seratiopora, pocillopora or stylophora, but acroporas and milleporas just don't get that colorful under LEDs IME. They are more of a pastel, like two or three shades of brightness too dull, when under halides they are very bright and more intense in their color presentation.
That is why I have Radium 400 watt halides on my 465 SPS tank, and Radion Pro LEDs over my 100 gallon mixed tank. If I were sticking with seratiopora, pocis, and stylos, I would have Radions over the 465.
I think a lot of this is particular to one's setup. Maybe someone else has great color in all SPS types with an AI SOl Blue. Not me, but that is the fun thing about his hobby, the experimentation part of it. Try something, and if it works great...if not, adjust and try something different.
