Anybody tried to shape live rock

Basically I'm a sucker for alot of the freshwater decorations you can put in the tank. For instance sunken ships crashed planes etc etc. I have a good bit of base rock seems to be figi that i would like to experiment with. I would keep the rubble made from the grinding and cutting to use for something so i dont think there would be alot of waste. I think it would be cool to shape some stuff and strategically place certain corals on it for a dramatic effect. Has anyone tried this?

Yep.. you have now get started and show those pictures sounds like a great idea all around. I have some extra rock sitting out under the porch waiting to be put in the my tank when i reconstruct it... or i might save it for the bigger tank either way I need to use it lol i do wanna see some pics though

I chisel & chip mine whenever I re-scape or add another rock. Granted, I've never sculpted Abe Lincoln's head or anything, but I do make it fit where I want it to...
