....small fish in a tank? We lost a couple fish in our nano a couple weeks ago. Then we put a couple new fish in this past weekend. One of the fish went to bury himself in the sand/rock near the brittle star and he started wrapping the fish up fast!

I grabbed him and dripped him into my display fuge for now.

He's orange and about 12" long from the tip of 1 leg to the another.

i think they are known to do that for some reason im not suprised but i've never owned one or seen one do that so i have no experience with them

Many brittle stars eat fish. You have to get the correct species. Some eat more than that!

I have a brittle and a serpent star. So far so good. But I have also heard they can pick off fish and inverts. I recently began target feeding mine. I figure if he is fat and happy he will be less likely to hunt.

Plus its kind of fun and it gets his lazy butt out from under those rocks where I can see what I paid for!

Mine's probably about 16-20" from tip to tip and I target feed him too. I'm afraid if I don't that he'll start hunting.
