Anyone Familiar With Tunze Skimmers???

I am considering this for my 175 build but I am not familiar with them.

Anyone have any experience with them?

I think Tim at Keen Reef knows. I was thinking of gettin one before I decided for a NW150, but can't afford it yet

i have a 9010 on a much smaller system. it does the job well. easy to set-up, use and clean. can easily attach ozone if interested. only downside is that we don't see many used in bigger systems.

These are not really appropriate for larger systems. I've seen a lot on smaller tanks and they seem to work well. There's an issue with the "neck" on certain models (I can't recall if it's on all or not) which can be modified (but why modify a new product?).

There are quite a few skimmers in that price range that will perform well for a 175g tank.

I found one of these used I could pick up for a couple hundred bucks.
But if it wont do the job...I will keep looking.
