If any of you happened to pick up a copy of the free Reef Hobbyist</em> Magazine</em> at the last meeting, there is an article titled "Fragging the Unfraggable," which describes the technique for dividing a Scolymia australis</em> (chalice coral ?) using a wet diamond band saw, specifically the Inland DB100. The piece purports that it inflicts much less injury than the Dremel, which is often used.
I have an excelent Favia that I have been wanting to frag for some time. If anyone has one of these saws, I'd like to try it.
Here's the article: http://www.reefhobbyistmagazine.com/archives/vol_3/issue11/pages/10.htm">http://www.reefhobbyistmagazine.com/archives/vol_3/issue11/pages/10.htm</a>
Thanks,
John
