just read this doing a little research on tihs stuff since i had it left over from my FW days.....

"Now to a second feature. . .It seems that in higher concentrations, Melafix is useful to clear up and/or stop tissue degeneration of many corals. Julian Sprung will soon be addressing how to use this in a dip/bath method in his upcoming book.

That's the scoop! You got it here on Reefland!"

just wondering what you all though or if any of you have used either mela or pima in SW?

I know Julian Sprung is pretty well regarded.

Yup use it all the time in my freshwater. Someone test this and see if it has SW value.

I know you can use it in SW but I'ld recommend doing so with your skimmer off for a few days, or in a QT because your skimmer will go insane!

It seems that it would be used as a dip, and not put in the tank since it requires "higher concentrations". Dosing it to the main tank I think would be disasterous! :(
