So to preface I have a 300g with plenty of rock thats attached to a 100g fuge filled with rock and an auto baby brine feeder. So food supply is not a problem.

I currently have a pair of green mandarins that are loving life and fatter then hell and Im wondering if I could add a second pair of red mandarins. I know they dont have problems with scooters, and I think they do fine with spotted mandarins, just as I know a green and red can pair happily.

BUT I dont know how two pairs would do. Anyone know?

Supposedly you can add pairs of any species and they'll do fine... likely ignore each other completely, but will do fine. In a 300? You could probably get away with a pair of greens and a pair of reds, but you'll be introducing potential rivals and you never know when the males will fight.

I'd just stick with adding a pair of psychedelic/spotteds and maybe a pair each of the more available "scooter" varieties.
