This stuff is all over my rocks and it is super annoying. When it comes out into my refugium it powders up into a brownish cakie dust and is a mess. It's all over my return pump. Please let me know how to get rid of it.

Once a year. It's not in my sump but rather, as the water flows through the sump, the water movement picks up the dust and spreads it all around the top walls of my cabinet kinda like we get salt creep everywhere. Very frustrating.

Do you run a UV? If not maybe pick one up and see if it kills it! Make sure it's appropriate (or larger) for the volume of your tank water.

Thanks Jesse. Yes. I do run a UV. It almost looks like a pink dust. SOme of it comes off but most does not.

Very Funny Andre!

Maybe I'm misunderstanding, but could it possibly be like a rubber seal or gasket or plastic part of some kind disintegrating somewhere? Maybe your cabinet or other material near your sump is falling apart from the salt-air? Is it shiny-metallic, or matte?
