I realize that most things cheap aren't worth messing with and that these will have zero gain as far as light spectrum goes but I wonder if they would give some of the sought after "pop?" I saw these while in a auto parts store today and it made me wonder if anyone had tried them or something like them. they are only $20ish. I've been looking for a cheap way to add some blue and dawn/dusk. I doubt these are the answer but figured what would it hurt to ask?

You can order them off of ebay for MUCH less than that.

I just got my ebay bucks reward so I plan on picking up a couple for free. I will let you know if they turn out okay.

Cool man. I think the big issue is going to be light spread or lack there of. If you think about headlights they are very focused when you get close to something.

Walmart has a bunch of these kind of things too.

I got some 36" stips off deal extreme, but it wasn't the right blue. They were "just" blue and didn't make the corals fluoresce like I wanted. Too bad, because they were perfect otherwise.
