Anyone use Red Sea coral Pro Salt

i use it and i like it alot...i have a smaller setup and do weekly water changes though but i did have noticable growth when i switched to it

I asked about it at a lfs a few weeks ago, it seems pretty solid. This is how it was explained to me vs seachem aquavitro salinity (which is what I use)

The RS is an evaporated salt, The salinity is synthetic
RS may have slightly lower numbers of trace elements calcium mag etc
Salinity has "juiced up" levels of each
It was explained to me that the extra trace elements in the salinity may be 1 tiny piece of salt somewhere added in the bucket while the RS will have the tiny amount distributed alot better and in each piece of salt.

Probably doesnt make since the way I explained it but maybe.

I switched from Salinity and am very happy. It dissolves quickly and completely. No cloudy mess like the Salinity.

RSCP is what I use. It mixes great and doesn't leave residue in the bottom of my mixing bucket. The mixing instructions were a little confusing at first, but with a little searching on the web, that issue was solved. This is the first brand of salt that I have used since starting up my tank a few months back, so I have no experience with other to compare.

Asked the same question at a local LFS last week and was given pretty much the same info, either we were in the same LFS or this is the answer they are schooled to explain. Either case I am asking around and looking hard at RS Pro as I am fed up I mean FED UP with salinity and it's issues. I have about 1/2 a bucket that is either going to set unused or offered to someone who thinks its the greatest thing to hit the hobby. If anyone has any issues with RSCP please PM me this week as it stands I will be making a trip to Canton or Woodstock to purchase a bucket of either RSCP or go back to my tried and true IO. Salinity was given its final chance 3 weeks ago and I have had enough wiping out my mixing tank of residue, dosing PH right after a change, dosing ALK with in 4 days of a change and having to monitor MAG constantly. NEVER had these issues with IO or Seachem Sea Salt so I will lay the blame where it seems to point = Salinity
