anyone want to hlep me make a sump???

i need help with makeing one im a **** when it come to this stuff my stand has very lil room its like this one but the middle has a solid back

the two sides are 14 1/2 " x 16 1/2" and i thine it 24" tall can any one help me i have no idea how to start to make a sump

i just got done making mine, i've never done it before, it was a pain in the butt, but its not hard. Just got it installed about 4 hours ago

a 5gal bucket or a rubermaid trash can. You really do not have enough room to create anything benificial other than a place to hide a skimmer or 1 thing you don't want to look at. You could consider adding the bucket and some LR/bioballs or a deep sand bed to increase bio filtration, but I found I am pretty much SOL.

I wish I'd have known I'd use the tank for SW. I bought it as a FW setup, and converted everything, but a stand is tough to change out...I may have to soon though.

a long shot idea, but if you have a laundry room or something behind the tank you could add a sump in another room...

This should help. It's not hard but can be a pain. I built my first one then had my second built for me. Both work about the same one just looks better.

heres a good vid for a cheap simple on, this guy was super-helpful for me, i didnt drill mine, but the rest is similar to mine

that depends on the stand and how its made

As most petsmart stands are just particle board and barely hold their own as it, I would not suggest cutting into it.

I would sudgest making a trip to walmart and looking at their storage containers. They have a whole isle of different shapes and sizes. If you do a search on rubermaid sumps you will see where people have used these and even stacked them in eachother to create seperate chambers. I was using one on my cube untill I got an acrylic sump.
