Anything else I should do during the cycle process?

Other that stare at this empty tank, I am wondering if I should add anything or if I should be running the heater or lights while it is cycling or just keep staring.

Yep. Lights are not necessary at all, and why pay for the electricity?

Just watch for pests and test the water. Once ammo/nitrite is at zero, do a good water change to bring the nitrate down and be glad it's over.
