Apex 2016 setup, WiFi no connecting

Hey folks, I’m hope to get some input here. I’m trying to set up apex 2016 unit. When I type apex.local on my phone or computer, not able to connect to the unit. I even tried to connect manually with 172.16.0.1
Same result
I’ve also tried to reset device but same result.
Apex unit shows blue lite but unable to connect...

I had this issues couple years ago and was able to by pass it with direct cat5 connect to set it up. However this time I found out my old laptop power adapter is dead.

One solution is to borrow laptop from someone with cat5 connection. Looking for any adddition input of how to maybe connect wirelessly.

Had this problem with a friends last weekend. He finally had to get tech support to do it through a remote computer app. Probably could reset it again (full) and capacitor discharge and try again first.

When you say capacitors discharge, do I just leave it unplugged for few hours or any specific way to do it?

Okay I figured it out, if you reset unit by sticking a pin into the hole. It will just restart it, to reset old settings, needed to hold it for 60 seconds.

I have to install these for work alot and run into this issues more than i would like to. It could be that your router is not compatable with the apex.
