apex ignorant

So I finally got an apex system. It is the basic system with ph/orp and temperature sensors and 8 power strip. I am looking for some help on this thing.


Who can give me a little info on what all I need to buy to get my system where I wanted to be and possibly pay someone to help me come program it and set it all up. I've been a lot with the fish systems in the past and I'm really good with these type of things but I don't want to mess up on my first round so I'm all ears

I know that I want to get something to monitor my salanity I want to be able to operate my radions also want to be able to operate my MP 10 and auto top off. And I'm sure there are a few things I am missing so anyone who is willing to be my apex big brother hit me up on here or text me if you already have my info.....

Neptune's forum is quite helpful. I'm not familiar with monitoring salinity and operating Radions and pumps but I'm pretty sure you need a WXM for that. As far as ato you'll need a break out box and some float switches to get that going.

Not sure if they have improved but from what I heard, the salinity probe was not the most accurate when first introduced.

Even if the salinity probe is not that accurate, it can be useful to see that the salinity has raised or lowered more than the normal pattern.

it will run your radions and vortechs right out of the box. Auto topoff too.

Do I not need a float switch to operate auto top off and how do I link it to my vortech and my radion?

Hi again Jesse

No apex pro but I can show what I know on Saturday.
For salinity you need the pm2 module
You need the wxm module for the mps
You can run the lights "out of the box" with a 0/10v adapter cable (could of come with your light... Didn't come with my kessil)
There are a few ways to manage the Ato. If you have an existing Ato you will most likely need to purchase a breakout box. They do sell apex ready Ato's as well (avast marine).

I do can some of the programming for you and set up your fusion access, get the app on phone and set up text/email alerts so others can more easily offer programming assistance

Also check "brstv" on YouTube. They did a video series a few years back that discuss much of this.

Radions do not work off of 0-10v, they will run off of the WXM module as well. For autotopoff I suggest the Avast Apex ready ATO sensor (much better than a float and it is plug and play).

2 float switches
2 new temp switches
