APEX LITE??? Where to get one???

I think the only difference that most will notice with a DC8 is that you cant see the amps being used...

So the complete list of differences between a DC8 and EB8 are:

Current monitoring, logging and graphing of the total current draw from all running devices is available on the EB8, the DC8 does not have this ability.

The EB8 is plug and play and is automatically added to the Apex configuration and the DC8 needs the address switches set appropriatly and to be manually added to the Apex configuration.

The communication between the Apex and the EB8 is over the AquaBus which is much more reliable than the control bus the DC8 uses.

The max length of the DC8 control bus is 10 feet while the EB8 AquaBus can go up to 200 feet.

The outlets on the EB8 can be confiured with a "Fallback" setting that the outlet will revert to if communications with the base module are lost. The DC8 outlets will remain in the state they were when communication is lost.

The EB8 will power the Apex system. Having 2 EB8s on separate GFCI or completely separate circuits provides fault tolorant power supply. The DC8 does not power the Apex at all.

The triacs used on the EB8 are slightly weaker than the DC8 (5 Amps vs 6).
