Snails are really good at getting where they don't belong. We took our filter sock off to clean it out and found a snail in it. How long it been there is anyone's guess. It seemed no worse for the wear so we put it back in the main tank. Crazy inverts.

I had a snail stuck in a koralia power-head.... Dont know how it got in or how it lived....

Snails in the drain can cause some pretty bad problems, if they get stuck in there they can clog the drain, then your return pump will empty the sump causing the tank to overflow.

I honestly couldnt tell how the dang thing even got into the filter sock. We have a durso? (sp) pipe. And thats crazy, how it survive a in powerhead? Must have been one heck of a snail. Lol
