Aqua C Remora + ChemiPure?

I have a sumpless 50 gal with a HOB skimmer, an Aqua C Remora w/ Mag 3 pump. Can I add a Chemi-pure pack to return section, or will that impede the flow too much? Thanks!

Do you use the surface skimmer box that attaches to the feed pump? I have one and put chemipure in the return side of the box all the time. Sometimes it overflows into the skimmer side of the box but I don't think it's a big deal.

No, I don't. I jerry rigged something to skim the surface, but nothing like the factory skimmer box.
