Anything i can do to make it skim a little better. Its doing good but there are not always bubble at the top and it pulls crap out of the water but not a lot everyday like ive seen other do. Any mods?
What pump are you using? The main thing that you need to keep these running effectively is to make sure the injector and pump are unobstructed. You clean the injector by unscrewing the little plastic bolt that you see inside the skimmer body. Then use a pipe cleaner, qtip or something similar to clean it out (AquaC sells one specific for this purpose that I've seen locally at Optimum)
Mine pulls out a dark tea colored substance, but I figure this is normal for my bio load (really light). I'm running a new mag 3 on mine, that's a pretty good pump for it, right? Oh, and HIJACK!
