Aqua scape rock work?

I have read where people drill the rock and use fiberglass rods.

I drilled mine and used fiberglass driveway markers. Nothing else needed.

Rods would be my preference. A little less permanent that way.

That's what I figure. If I ever upgrade or rearrange the tank, it's be easy to just pull them apart.

Would the fiberglass electrical fishing rods work, I have a few of those.
Want to do a tower and an over hang shelf, just want it to be strong enough and not fall later on.

What's the diameter? I think the one's I used were about 5/16". A single rod is supporting the largest rock in my tank.

The rock on the right, about 8lbs

You can see the rod in the picture

Does anyone have a link or picture of an actual rod? Where can you find them - HD, Lowes, etc? Thank you.

What size tank is that?

Please don't take offense as my opinion is just my preference and usually is not the standard for most. However I think you've used rocks too large for the tank size. Which is giving the perception of a small tank. IMO you want to do the opposite. With the right structure a 10 gallon can feel like a 55 in the context of a photo.

No offense taken, it's a 65gal and work in progress, I may change it.
I changed the rock work on my 120 three times before I was happy.

Haha join the club! It took me years to figure out what "I" liked. I'm currently in the first tank that I've ever set up and kept the look.
