thanks man i was just looking at your read lol how much rock do you think u have. not sure i can do that with the kind of rock i have go look at my thread. and see what you think plz

Honestly, I have no idea how much rock is in there. The totaka weighs a lot less than fiji, so probably not as much weight as it looks like.

Yeah, your rock is a lot different. I'm a fan of more open aquascapes, as opposed to the wall of rock. Of course it will look good once corals are growing. Maybe you could try a pile on each side, and open in the middle. Or a big pile on one side and have that taper off towards the other side with maybe a smaller pile there. Or just place that huge rock on the left by itself on the sand. I know it's hard in a 45 though.

the 12 front to back is why I am going to a 65 or 75 they are both 18" front to back

Here is how my 75 looked about 3 months ago.

If I were you, I'd go to a 75, they're the same width, so most everything you have applies to the new tank. I think if you got a 55, you'd be quick to wish for larger again...

Here is shot of mine right after I set the rocks up. Got some Figi from Tim @ Keen. I drilled some holes in the lower rocks and used fiberglass rods to place most of the secondary ones. Any higher than that are just place. But that allowed me to give it a more open feel...which is what I wanted.

Good luck with yours

I set up a 55 and soon after wished I had set up another 75. The price isnt that much of a difference and if you keep an eye on the forums you will probably find a 75 for a good deal as well. It really opens up your options for aquascaping.
would you call $40 for a 55gal a good deal?
