Are Frag Tanks Necessary?

HI All,

I'm still a newbie, still trying to figure everything out. My question today is in regards to a frag tank. It seems that many people have one.

Should I consider putting one together? What are the benefits? Is it worth the effort/space? It seems like a lot of people use the 40g breeder as a frag tank. What are the key characteristics of a good frag tank? And what size should I consider?

Growing out frags for trading and selling is it's main purpose.

A good frag tank is everything that will optimize growth. Shallow for ease of better lighting, high flow and great filtration.

I'vre thought about frag tanks in the past, but everytime I set up more than one tank, I get out of the hobby..... I'm a one tank kinda guy, otherwise, it becomes less of a hobby, and more a lifestyle and work....
