If you dont mind 50 of them dying off...they arent even shipped in water.

That's exactly what I first noticed. I wouldn't buy anything from someone that doesn't even say what the product is.

First thing I noticed too. Looks like what you always get on any rocks you buy. Most folks will have these as hitchhikers anyways. I'd rather spend my money on some Mexican turbos or the like.

That's the best way to ship snails. I order by the thousands and they come in a tiny box, no water, no loss.

OP, like the others have stated, you have no idea what you're getting from the ebayer. Just pick some up locally and be done with it.

Even priority mail in this heat? Peewww, I wouldn't want to open that bag :yuk: For that price I doubt he's using foam coolers etc.

Steamed snails in a bag... GAK!

The first qeustion that needs to be asked is how big is your tank? 100 snails(assuming they're all alive) in a 30 or even 60 is overkill and they'll probably die any way!!!

local is always better keep your cities economy flowing!!!!!! you might pay a few dollars extra but you'll do better in the long run

I've bought snails from Ebay before, it was like 300 nass snails for $30 or so.. Hell, I even gave a bunch to John.. They were all alive (minus 3 or 4) and did a killer job keeping the sand clean.. I'm actually plotting on buying more sometime soon..

Not the same seller as above, but prolly the same deal..

i have bought these befor in the winter they shipped fine with no deaths...they will keep your sand clean if they are nass snails

With a mass purchase like that that's probably newly collected check and introduce them one by one or with any size purchase for that matter. "Pyramid" snails also dig on other snails not only clams. "Dig on" HA!
