Are these polyps or something else?

We have 1 of these in our display and about 15 of these in our refugium and just cannot identify what the heck these are! The one in our display has been there for a month and our lights have turned the center neon green. The little tentacle things wiggle and they close up too. Anyone have the slightest idea? Oh, and are they bad to have?

When used in a syringe it takes a mere drop or 2 just enough for the target to grab. Shouldn't affect anything. Just don't get all trigger happy. couple ml's in the tank wont mess with the parameters much.
