I have a ATI t5 light fixture that I need help with setup. I would evidentally like to get a few SPS for the setup. The light fixture is currently on a 30 gallon tank that I may move the occupants to a 40 gallon breeder.

1.) What is your favorite setup of the 6 bulb combination? Please list placement from front to back of your winner combination of t5 bulb arrangement.

2.) I need to replace the two small fans on top of the light fixture. Any ideas of where to purchase the fans and approximate price of the two fans?

3.) Any favor brands of T5 lbulbs do you like and how long have you been using these brand bulbs?

P.S. If you only have a 4 bulb light; I would like to know you t5 bulb combination from front to back. What brand of T5 bulbs do you favor?

ATI bulbs all the way! I have an ATI 6 bulb unit and my choice is ATI bulbs in this order form rear to front.
Blue +
Blue +
Coral+
Blue +
Blue +
Purple +

This will give a slightly blueish hue and have lots or par, for less blue you can substitute a GE daylight (I believe 6700k). You can also move the purple + to any of the blue + spots to fine tune the look for your preference.

I got new fans for a current fixture at fry's, they're the same replacements, didn't want to wait in shipping.

Is this the fan you bought? http://www.frys.com/product/4722209?site=sr:SEARCH:MAIN_RSLT_PG">http://www.frys.com/product/4722209?site=sr:SEARCH:MAIN_RSLT_PG</a>

Nop, like I said my fixture is a Current Brand, o don't know if yours could use the same, I was trying to give you the closest option to get fans. Those are DC fans, mines were AC 115volt fans, hope it helps

Sorry I don't have the link :D

Status: quo

I think the ATI replacement fans from Reef Geek range from $12-$15 depending on which model you have. Personally I would get the ATI replacements.

How often does your ATI fans turn on when you have all the T5's on? Is there a way to manual kick start the fans on to see if they will turn on? There is a small connector plug near the two power cords. Is this for a controller or something.

The fans have a separate plug, they should be on unless you unplug them or use a timer or controller

Is this empty plug for the fans; the plug in the center between the two light plugs? [see attached photo]

I purchased this light some time ago and had it in storage until just a couple of days ago. The lights are working; just came seem to get the two top fans to come on. I am currently in the process of ordering some things; so I didn't want to overlook anything and purchase two new fans when it turns out that I was just missing an adapter plug for the fans.

You can buy a adjustable one from best buy or similar store and you are good to go

Will this work? http://www.walmart.com/ip/PowerLine-1300-mah-Universal-AC-Adapter-w-USB-Power-Port/16778839">http://www.walmart.com/ip/PowerLine-1300-mah-Universal-AC-Adapter-w-USB-Power-Port/16778839</a>

It says it's adjustable from 3 volts to 12 volts. Do you know what the proper voltage setting would be? Is the 1300 strong enough to run the 2 fans?

That one will work, set it to 9 volt and the polarity depends on the adapter so if it dosen't work change the polarity

Yes make sure you have the polarity correct, the unit I got from ATI for my Sunpower unit is adjustable, have to check but I think I run mine around 6 volts.
