ATO question

I think they will only pull up about 3 feet, but can push a good bit higher. I don't notice any noise from my Aqualifter. It's very loud when it's pumping air, but once there is water running through it, it's very quiet.

Another layer of redundancy that I recently added to my ATO was to utilize a manual float valve (normally used in RO/DI tanks) to deliver the top off water to my sump. If a pump/switch malfunction causes the top off pump to stay on, the float will rise and shutoff/prevent top off water from entering the sump when the level gets too high. It is a cheap/robust fail-safe.
