Ato set up

I'm setting an ato. I have a pump, was wondering should I just get a ato controller or use my apex?? I can't find a float switch that I like. I'm looking for an optical sensor that would work with apex.

Look into avast marine ato. It plugs into the apex and is programmed just like afloat switches. I have never heard of a failure with these. The YouTube video is cool too.

I have had mine for a very long while with zero hiccups.

I used JBJ for a few years until it took a dive into my sump. I use the Apex breakout box and it's worked just fine for the last 2yrs.

For an optical sensor system it's really hard to beat a tunze Osmolator

Just looked into this. Wish I would have seen this sooner. Definitely something I would like to try. If my tunze ever fails I think this will be the next in line

Be sure to maintain your float switches routinely.

My ato water source is less than what my sump can safely absorb in the event a float gets stuck. I use a 5 gallon jug.
