I am going to get a dual switch ato from autotopoff.com, but I am unsure what type of pump I would need. I have a mini jet 404 that is rated up to 106gph. Would that be sufficient for an ato that is in the cabinet under a 20G high tank? If not, any suggestions?

Thanks,
Joe

I use their products and they work. I got the small pump they sell. However, I pump just into the sump and it works fine with their small pump. Distance for pumping vertical is the key. If its just lateral and a short distance then anything will work. I keep my line output just above the water line to keep back flow from being an issue.

I'm also a happy autotopoff.com ATO user. I'm using the Aqualifter pump to pull water out of the container then it runs through a kalk reactor then up about 30" to the tank. The max verticle for the Aqualifter is 30" so it's dosing slow like I need it too. I would suggest the aqualifter or the next lowest GPH pump they have. If you are pumping it directly into your tank make sure you have the water pouring into a high flow area, especially if you add additives to the top-off water.

I am thinking about going with the smallest Quite One water pump. They are on sale at Dr Fosters... Does anyone have any pros/cons regarding this brand?
