I've been experimenting with a sort of constant water change, and I use that term loosely.
I found that I HATED water changes, like so many reefers, but my animosity stemmed from my water station being downstairs, and out of sight. For some reason carrying a bucket of water up stairs just turned me way off.
The last month I've done something a little different. I went ahead and mixed up my water, but took it upstairs beside the tank. Every morning I simply use a small container, dip out a certain amount and replace it with water change. It takes about a min or min and half, and so far my corals (mostly hammers and zoanthids) are liking it a lot It also helps keep my alk in check, since the alk of the salt is my target alk.
Anyway, thought Id share.
Peace
