I bought a used turbo aquatics algae scrubber. I am very satisfied with the customer support and the build quality. I just wish I could have gotten a larger mode.

Bud charges a premium for his scrubber. But hands down it is the best commercially available, bar none. There is a continual waiting list for a reason.
What scrubbers are Bud's?

Bud Carson is also Floyd R Turbo on a lot of forums. R2R, RC and many more. Hellofa nice guy too. He helped me quite a bit with my DIY scrubber.
I have used Clearwater before and it worked too well, lol
There's only so much you can do with the design and they are expensive. I don't like the floating ones. I think the Santa Monica ones are like that.
The price is why DIY'd mine. That and 5yrs ago there weren't very many available. I will be building a new version soon and I'm going to switch from the spray bars to slot pipe. Getting the lights right is a huge part of getting good production as well.

Not too familiar but have seen. I understand the benefit of having but how often do you have to clean or how much maintenance is involved in them?
