Yeah. Its from Mexico and the Lizard forever remains in it larval stage due to dangers outside of the water in its natural habitat so evolved overtime to never fully develop.

Its one of the best pets ive ever experienced. Feeding out of my fingers etc...

Well, not a lizard (reptile), but an amphibian. As expressed they can stay in pre-metamorphosis for extended periods.
