So I observed some nudis I had in stock laying rings of what appeared to be eggs. Today I was looking over the tanks and what do I see but a handful of baby nudis about a 1/4" long!

Pic is one of them

sweet you just get free buisness lol i have some bryopsis for them to take at lol ;)

That's really cool -- it looks like the sea slug elysia crispata. I would like to have one, but I think they only eat bryopsis, of which I am blessed to have none at this point.

An article mentioned that they might eat the fine-bladed caulerpa verticillata -- do you know if the ones you have eat anything that would be good to have in a tank?

Here is a link with a description about this species.

Thanks for the link -- I saw a post that they can grow to maturity feeding off chaetomorpha:

I have chaeto in my tank, but I just want to be sure that I have enough to feed the critters, though I hear they don't eat much, since they also use the chloroplasts from the algae for energy from light.

I have a pico tank and got 4 Astrea snails that are finally getting enough to eat, so I just don't want to stress about this one gettting enough. It would be really cool to have.

Have you seen yours feeding on chaeto?

Not Yet, I just noticed them today. You know can't see the forest because of the trees thing....

I had some adults I sold. They don't cost me much to buy from my wholesaler, but it would be cool to say that they were breed and raised in captivity by me. :)

I will give them a few more weeks to grow and thn maybe sell a few and keep the rest to start the cycle again. I need to setup a small 10 gallon tank to just keep them in. I am sure some other things in my invert tanks will find these guys tasty.

The funny thing is that if I tried to breed them, they prob wouldn't have. :)

It is the first time I have ever had a sucessful spawning in my tanks since I started this business. :)

Good to hear you have been trying to "spawn" in your tanks. I won't take this any further for the childrens sake.

Try to use a scientific term and this is what you get. :D

I have wanted one for a while, and I also want all my critters to be tank-raised, so this works perfectly for me.

Let me know if you see them eating the chaeto and are ready to sell them, I would be happy to get a couple and see what happens.

A few days ago, I noticed a spiral type of egg sac on my overflow, right in the middle of a small patch of not so nusiance </em>algae. I assumed it was the snails I've had in there for almost a year. I'm wondering the gestation period of nudi's because I bought that one from you a few weeks ago which is happy and healthy in my tank. Hopefully, I'll have a nudi invasion as well!
