okay, so Im looking around in my tank and out of no where I see a baby starfish (about the size of a pea, with six legs(one is larger than all)white on the bottom and greyish on top) crawling across my glass.. probably came in off a piece of LR ...question is will he grow or do I need to capyure him and give him special attention till he gets bigger?? Advice??

Good lil hitch hikers, but they are full grown, I got them all in my tank now. Road in on the last live rock I added.....

They disguise themselves on the rock. I got a magnifying glass and its cool to try to spot them....

Did that help to bring the fun back, or have I still killed all your joyjoy?

I've never seen them on what few hard corals I have..... I think they only eat detrius

most of the little hitch hiker stars are reef safe. - check out this link for ID.

I actually sucked a little britle star out of the tank the other siphoning the water. Sucked.

freebee critters are great, like a bonus buy. I had two small white crabs holding up in a rock for a few months. Have not seen them in several months. Must have died.

I have a few of those in my tank. I've never seen any get too big except one is approching the size of a dime and has 8 legs!

If its an asterina starfish, then its harmless. See if it looks like the 3rd and 4th pictures in this link:
