Bacteria in mixing tank?

I have brown stuff accumulating in my mixing tank. I disassembled everything (as much as possible) and cleaned the tank, pipes and pump. Can I nuke the whole mixing system with something and the water still be usable? Thanks for all suggestions!

You can bleach it and then use Prime (or other dechlorinator) to neutralize it.

Did that about 2 months ago for this same reason. Now its back.

I thought about doing an ICP test but I already put bleach in the tank.

Was it crusty? I put vinegar in mine and it came right off
