We had a lightning strike last week. Live stock are fine but the following are all toast:

3 TV's
2 Garage Door openers
2 computer monitors
2 network ports on 2 motherboards
1 wireless Router
1 Satellite Box
1 Irrigation controller and 2 zones
1 Cable Modem
1 GFI Circuit
1 Xbox
1 Reef Keeper Elite, SL1, SL2, 4 PC4's, 1 Net

The good news is I finally got to upgrade to the Apex.

Wow, sounds like an Insurance claim unfortunately.

If you google lightning strikes & surge protectors the consensus is basically:
You need to keep a two-year or newer, 1400+ joule surge protector for prevention.

After a much smaller scale loss at a rental property of mine I invested a substantial amount of money on surge protectors including for high end appliances. Insurance claims bite too!

It might be something worth considering after you replace all your electronics...
Sorry to hear!

I am still finding electric fans and other appliances that are failing prematurely from a strike about 2 years ago. I was told by the insurance agent that most every appliance will need to be replaced or repaired prematurely due to the strike. Good luck and a subtle congrats for the upgrade
