Base rock ok?

I have been out of the hobby for a little over a year now. I just bought a tank and I am picking it up this weekend. I started to get all the stuff I had left from the first couple of tanks and found 2 large totes full of rock. I would say its 75 lbs or more. My concern is its been sitting in my garage for close to a year and I didnt think to cover them. Should I be worried about using them or is there any way to clean them to know they will be safe.

Rinse in ro water should remove the dust and loos debree

And if you are really worried about it you could go as far as a acid or bleach bath but I think a good RO rinse should get rid of everything that needs to be gotten off

I think you should be fine. Anything living on it will die in the saltwater as it's curing.
