What is the best/easiest dosing method to keep ph and dkh up? Is there any thing automatic or is it always just just test and dose? Is kalvasser more effective than a buffer?

Constant, consistent, Water changes are always the best thing. Dosing should only be done after testing except for Iodine. Those tests kits are super expensive so if you feel that Iodine is a problem then it normally can be dosed and be fine.

Because salt naturally contains all the elements and trace elements that are needed, good 10-20% changes weekly are the key to success.

it depends on the size of the tank, what you are keeping, and how much you are willing to spend.
I use EVC 2 part with a Aquamedic pump. I have it set to dose 4 times a day. A larger tank than mine (55), 2 part would get expensive, so either make your own, or use a reactor.
