Hey guys! I've got a 30 gallon tank with a few decent corals in it. I had a friend loan me his T5 light until I could get a new one since my other light wasn't for corals.

Time to get a new light so he can have his back. What are your recommendations for best lighting for a smaller tank?

Then your tank must be around 18 inches deep too.

What type of corals you would like to keep?

Also, what is your budget?

FWIW-
I'm putting one of these in an Aquatic Life hybrid fixture over an Innovative Marine Lagoon 25 (24x20x12) as a frag tank.

Probably overkill, but sure to get the job done!

Yeah its roughly 18-20" deep. Right now I have a coral beauty, 2 clowns, lawnmower blenny, 2 chronos, and a 6 line wrasse with a few snails and a coral banded shrimp, a large frag rock with some mushrooms at the bottom, a rock with a bright green leather, a purple leather on the other side and a few other smaller frags of favia, and candy canes.

That's a good option. It's a good light and there are many, many people running them. You can easily get support and tips on how to use it by asking on here or with a simple google search. You could look at some "black box" fixtures that would be cheaper but if you ever want to change things up or upgrade, these hold there value pretty well.

Yeah I'm looking for a unit that may be similar in quality but a little cheaper in price. Don't want to skimp though so I may run this one

Noopsyche - Check into them! I swapped out all of my XR15 Gen 4 Pros for them. Dana Riddle did a fantastic light review on all LED's on R2R, and he is now using Noopsyche! Blow the AI 26HD out of the water and cost $149.99!

I'll check them out!
