Thanks JB will check them out!

I don't remember which one he bought, but it was for his 33-long, so you could use the same one...I'm sure he'll be along to tell you which one it was.

Not sure on the price. I looked at the link in this post and it appears they can be pricey. If you decide to have one built, I may be interested in one also; if we can split the cost for the two. This of course, depending on final cost for the two. Have to make sure that the epoxy/glue isn't harmful to the livestock. I'm in not big hurry for the overflow box; I haven't purchased the 40 breeder aquarium yet. I probably want an overflow that would work for holes drilled in the bottom instead of the back of the tank. Have you seen Pico's build on a 40 gallon breeder tank? I may want to mimic Pico's (with his permission of course) setup only with smaller holes in the bottom.

Have you figured out what turnover ratio you want with the water table?

Wannabee

P.S. If you decide to build one, just remember that the thinner the acrylic, the more likely it will start to warp over time.

Wannabee I'm actually mimicking pico's 40g setup too and i was trying to find a place to buy the overflows that are for holes on the bottom. If I find something i'll let you know.

Maybe if we get enough people interested; we could start an unofficial group buy on overflows for a 40 gallon breeder. Hey! I've got a better idea. Can we have the next ARC meeting where Pico builds all three of us an overflow setup? This would be a very educational event for a monthly meeting. We would get a better price break on materials as more join in on an unofficial group buy/ group build on overflow setups.

What do you think?

I'm down, I'm picking up a 40G breeder tomorrow for 10 bucks from comrade, suppose to be one month old used as a QT. We will see how it looks. I will also need to drill the bottom since right now it only has 2 holes and i want 4 ( full syphone, excess, emergency , return ).

I think all conrads stuff is gone. I wanted their frag tank was on my way to get it and it was gone. They were moving and didnt have time to hold i think everything is sold.

IIRC, I picked up the Super Nano con Dientes kit. I have had this setup for a few years now without a single issue. You may want to go with the 700 gph kit for your tank. I wanted the smaller one to get a good pod population going in my fuge. Little did I know they will grow anywhere!
