Best place to purchase a gate valve?

I have tried numerous set ups and threaded nippples trying to plumb the drain coming off the skimmer but nothing will fit. The only other thing i can come up with would to be put on the pump feeding the inlet...Anybody have any expierence with modding the plumbing on an octo recirc 110?

HD, Lowes = both garbage (imo) as neither carried a gate valve in any size

Only one i could find was a 1' threaded at ace...and i really need a 1' pvc u ( i think thats what the grey colored pvc is called)

Dkelly- ill try them tonight as there right around the corner from me as well...

I swear trying to plumb an external skimmer is nothing but a pain...

you can buy gate valves made out of PVC at just about any ACE Hardware store...


the dark gray pvc is usually schedule 80 (but not always)

Most Ace harwares stock 3/4 gate valves (actually they stock <u>stop</u> valves rather than true gate valves).

If you need any larger than 3/4 you will probably need to order.

You probably found them by now anyway...
