Best sized 3-4ft tank for a Fowlr setup??

My fowlr is a 4ft 120. Its only been running for about a month but i love it so far

Start of a new build
I bought a used 120 gallon tank and stand. I finally got around to getting it all cleaned up. Here is the tank I got it outside to do some final cleaning and then a final leak test. Believe it or not this is alot cleaner than it was 2 weeks ago.

Usually for these type of questions, it depends on what fish you’re interested in. Some fish will prefer the length of a tank, while others prefer the surface/bottom area, and very few will even prefer height.
Given that your constraint is length, go as big as you’re able... so definitely 4ft length. I agree with @york1, a 4ft 120g is a great all-around tank. You still have to avoid some of the tangs that prefer 6-8ft long tanks. But otherwise it’s a very good and flexible option.
