I have been using a Red Sea Berlin Classic Skimmer mounted in my sump for several years now with satisfactory results. Its starting to get stress cracks in the outer tube but isn't leaking (yet). If it does its in the sump. I am considering replacing it. I have limited space in the sump. The footprint of the Berlin is 6.5" xx 6.5", the height is 21". My sump is covered or contained to minimize evaporation so the height is important. The width can be expanded to 8" x 10".

If I were to change to another skimmer what would you suggest?

I have a 90 gallon reef tank and I'm vodka dosing. I have tangs, anthias, gobies, shrimp and lobster that love to be fed occasionally.

Bubble king I have two supermarin 300 and BC mini180 and there the best skimmers I have ever owned.after owning one no other skimmer compares.

Bubble King and Vertex are the two top of the line skimmer manfs

I have a reef octopus that has been stellar. Not sure how a skimmer( cheaper or higher) could be any better.

I upgraded to a Bubble King DC 200, with the Red Dragon 3 DC pump.

Works really well, pulls a ton.

Pump is adjustable, too.

Not cheap, though.
