do they clean up sand beds pretty well? or are they overrated for an algae eater?

I have never owned one, but am thinking about it!

I never see mine eat algae. He usually just hangs out in a hole in a rock with his head sticking out. Then when I feed, he dashes out to eat. Maybe he eats algae when I'm not looking, I don't know.

Lawnmower Blennies eat algae. I actually see them do it, lol.

Mine loves to eat zoa's expecially the expensive ones. When I upgrade he's getting the boot.

That's the way mine was too.

I had to be careful with mine when I shut the powerhead off. I liked to back up into all those holes and I had to watch for him before turning it back on!

How do multiple blennies do in a single tank.

I've got a bicolor in mine that has been there for a year I think he knows every hidey hole in the tank better then I do, the only way to get him out would be to remove all rock and break it open.
