For those of you that aren't flossin' and don't have awesome water changing stations, automatic water changes, etc...what are you using for water changes?
Just a brute trash can with a dolly? Any other recommendations?

Prior to the water mixing station we used the Brute can method with the following:

Siphon/bucket to drain water from the display.
Food grade scale/bowl to measure salt by weight.
5 gallon bucket to measure water RO/DI being added to the mixing can.
Heater/Inkbird temperature controller.
Powerhead to mix the water.
Refractometer to check mixed water salinity.
Tunze utility pump/tubing to pump the mixed water from the Brute can up into the display.

If I still had to do it this way, I would upgrade from a refractometer to a digital salinity meter. We use a Hanna pen checker now for testing salinity when mixing water and it's much easier. Gives salinity and corrects for temperature automatically.

I use a 100 gallon vessel to make RODI - but then I xfer 30 or so gallons to a brute on wheels for mixing - I drain to an empty brute - fill from the one with mixed SW.

Brute trash cans, make sure it doesnt have wheels where the axle goes through the bottom. It will fail there after a few years.

If you have space, 200, 275 or 330 gallon totes are great. You can pickup used food grade ones for around $100 each. (usually have oil residue inside that needs to be cleaned. Mine were cooking oil)

I was using 32g brutes with my 90g but after our child was born we really needed some more space so I use 5g buckets on my 20g. I’ll prolly keep using a 5g on my 66g too
