Hey everyone,

I've had a 14 gallon biocube for about a month now. I feel like the filtration is a little less than adequate. I've done a lot of research, and most people recommend using an "Intank Media Basket" in chamber two, along with filter floss, chemi pure, and purigen.

My question is, will switching over to this disrupt my tank's chemistry? Right now I am using the regular biocube filter in chamber one, seachem matrix in chamber two, and a filter sponge in chamber three. It's a pretty standard setup, except for the matrix. In your experience, is the media basket worth while? Can I switch without completely throwing my water chemistry out of wack? Will my livestock be okay during the switch? I'd appreciate any suggestions. Thanks!

Maybe I was overly specific in my original question. Has anyone had experience altering their filtration method once the tank is already established? Essentially, I'd be removing matrix and replacing it with chemipure, filterfloss, and purigen. Thoughts?
