My birds nest that i had for yrs,is in trouble. My torch coral touched it very little. So i move my birds nest 3" over. One day later its almost all whiteish brown, not green.Over night this happened.Im stunned. Is it the move, or the sting,or both. The big question, will it come back.:o

its probably the sting. the torch can reach a LONG way around itself. Don't toss it.

Are there polyps on the injured area or is it just hard skeleton?

have patience! ive had sps "skeletons" come back... but it takes time

a pic will help if possible

At this time, I think there still polops. Will get a pic tomarrow.Im so mad.Took me a few yrs to get it that size. Its not real big, it started out a small frag, and now it was about 4" or so.My torch coral is going somewhere, just dont know where. Thanks

IME I had a birdsnest stn about half way up and once it stopped the white part never come back to life just started growing coraline on it, so in my opinion give it a few months to see what happens but if coraline starts growing on it I would cut the dead limbs off and let it start from scratch

Well, at this point, all the coral is white,But, still has little bumps or looks like polups.:huh:Will leave it in there for a few months.
