black sponge on rock

does nayone have or have seen black sponge groing on rocks?

I have a yellow and a white colored one in two differant tanks that just showed up.
Black sounds pretty cool if it is a sponge?

ya i do. lots of little black mounds that are spongy so i assume they are just some kind of hitchhiker sponge. i also have one thats greenish/greyish and i have seen orange ones. they mostly grown on the back/under sides of the rock where there is less light

I have several black sponge colonies in my all my tanks. My fuge is full of them. Great for your system.
