bleached mushrooms

I have several mushrooms that I had too close to the lights for too long and are now pure white. They used to be purple. Will they regain their algae or eventually wither away?

what kind of lights? MH? or t5 or pcs's? ....either way, they will eventually be fine it just sounds like youve killed some of the Zooanthella algea in the skin. It will eventually color back with time....so no worries. Mushrooms are pretty hardy corals.

They are under PCs. They were about 5-6 inches from them.

your all good. just a little of time. mushrooms dont need alot of lite, plus if youve just put them in your tank, you should kinda acclimate them slowly to your lighting system. start low in the tank and day by day bring them up alittle to you find a place where they flourish the best.
