Blue Tang blowing bubbles

I noticed a funny behavior yesterday. My Blue Tang was repeatedly going to the surface, taking a breath of air, then swimming down and blowing out bubbles.

And ill take some better videos next time! I had to zoom in because she's a bit skittish when anyone approaches the tank...unless they have food.

I couldn't figure out what the heck could be going on based on the description but when I watched the video I thought "Oh ya, mine used to do that."

Yeah. It's seemingly just a playful behavior.

My orange shoulder tang is a one-man circus. He does that all the time. He also poops sand all day long. I should sell tickets.

FoxFace rabbit fish will do it as well - mine used to do it for hours

My foxface does that all the time.

Yeah, its quite fun to watch them interact with each other and their environment. I'll take a good video next time she's doing it.
