I tried this today, and had success. I had a old medicine syringe from target, and boiled some water and blasted them when they retreated into their hole. The goo was flying. I did a water change and I guess we will see if they come back. Has any one else had success with this technique? Have I ony made the problem worse? Thanks

Ive done it with a turkey baster.....it did work but only for a few weeks. by using a syringe its likely you will see better results.

That same method with kalk paste is much more effective. I have plenty of extra kalk if you need any

yeah, i bet the boiling water made a mess of those bigguns!

I may have to try this soon, every time my tweezers get near a few I have, they crawl back in immediately.

the biggest one did make a huge mess. I stuck the tip of the syringe into the hole he was in and sucked out a bunch of goo. yuck.
