books and tank question

question 1 : im looking for a couple books and fid some such as Conscientious Marine Aquarist etc... And they were made 10-15 years ago. Is the info still current? I know they wont be up to date on current equiptment.

Question 2:
Is a marineland aquarium better or the same quality as a cheaper aqueon?

The conscientious marine aquarist is an excellent referance. I believe there was a revision about 4-5years ago. You may not find all the new trends, but there are ample amounts of useful info in that book.

I also recommend the pocket guide to marine fish, by Scott Michael and the pocket guide to marine invertebrates by Ron shimeck.

I think marineland and Aqueon are hand in hand. The quality is very close, but marineland tanks come with the plumbing kits.
